MESSAGE: "Keep Pressing Forward", Published on Saturday, January 10, 2015 by Aubrey R. Taylor Communications

“Not everybody is going to celebrate your success. Some people may even become angry at the fact that God has favored, and has chosen you to carry out His will in the earth. The mere hearing of you being blessed may even cause some people to rise up against you. But no matter what, you keep pressing forward. Nehemiah experienced exactly what I’m talking to you about today. Remember when Nehemiah decided to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem? This was a good and noble thing he wanted to do for the people of God; but Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah, and other leaders became grieved about the fact that he was concerned about the welfare of the children of God. But don’t take my word for it; check out Nehemiah 2:10 for yourself. In the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible it reads, “When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.” So don’t forget this: no matter what God has called, anointed, and chosen you to do; you are going to have so many people for you and so many people against you. You have to know this up front.” – AUBREY R. TAYLOR

I am not deterred because of my naysayers. I trust God. I believe His plan for me is coming to pass as I yield my will to His will for my life. My enemies can’t stop me. Nor will they discourage me. I shall keep pressing forward.

Here are a few of the candidates whom I believe are eyeing the chance to succeed Mayor Annise Parker in the Tuesday, November 3, 2015 City of Houston Mayoral Election: Attorney Ben Hall, Attorney Chris Bell, State Rep. Sylvester Turner, Attorney Eric Dick, City Council Member Oliver Pennington, City Council Member Stephen Costello, Former Kemah Mayor Bill King, and Attorney Sean Roberts

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2015 for the 2015 City of Houston Mayoral Election. And I am looking forward to a record turnout, clean competitive races, and hopeful that we get a mayor who is committed to representing our entire city – not special interest groups.

"According to an ABCNews/Beliefnet Poll 83 percent of Americans identify themselves as Christians. So to this end, it makes perfect sense for us to get Christians engaged, empowered, informed, and excited about the process of choosing those who govern on the local, state, and federal levels in America. So don't forget about what Proverbs 29:2 teaches us: "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." -- AUBREY
