AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

As the filing period for the upcoming Tuesday, November 7, 2023, City of Houston General Mayoral Election draws nearer, and December 11, 2023, which is the filing deadline to appear on the March 5, 2024, Democratic and Republican Primary ballots creep closer, it is imperative that seek out duly-qualified Godfearing public servants and support their candidacies whenever possible.

The good Book says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee…, I will also forget thy children.” What am I trying to say? Well, our nation is being destroyed right now, because we are rejecting truth, and embracing lies.

Our survival as a people is at a serious crossroads right now, and we must shift course, and stop allowing ungodly candidates to claim territory, by supplanting Godly leaders. Right now, the Democratic club, that’s headed up by a guy by the name of Art Pronin, is gearing up to aim at State Rep. Shawn Thierry (HD-146), simply because she voted her conviction on several pieces of legislation, namely House Bill 900 (HB-900), and Senate Bill 14 (SB-14) when they came before the full house.

Now, who in the hell died, and made Art Pronin, the boss of State Rep. Shawn Thierry? Can someone answer this question for me? If Art Pronin and the Meyerland Area Democrats Club believe that it’s okay to perform sex-change operations on underaged children, that’s their right. However, they do not have the right to use bully tactics, and intimidation methods against State Rep. Shawn Thierry, for disagreeing with their position – that’s wrong on so many different levels.

And what’s more troubling is the fact that four Democrats voted in favor of Senate Bill 14, back on Monday, May 15, 2023, but State Rep. Shawn Thierry is the only one that Art Pronin and his club have decided to censure, from what I can see. That being said, Art Pronin, and his Meyerland Area Democrats Club, are completely out of line, and should be compelled by local Democratic leaders (especially Black leaders), to back up off of State Rep. Shawn Thierry, before this matter escalates, and spills over into the upcoming Tuesday, March 5, 2024, “SUPER TUESDAY” Democratic Party Primary, in Harris County.

State Rep. Shawn Thierry, has clearly articulated her position on why she voted in favor of Senate Bill 14, in her “OFFICIAL PUBLISHED STATEMENT” titled, “Statement on Voting to Raise the Age to 18 for Gender Modification Treatments and Surgeries.” If you haven’t read her explanation, please “CLICK HERE” to read her explanation for yourself.

---------------------------------

“I voted to raise the age to 18 for children to receive GnRH-analogs, (i.e. “puberty blockers”), cross-sex hormones, and to undergo irreversible surgeries when experiencing gender dysphoria. After hearing from constituents, listening to stakeholders, and reviewing the scientific data in this country and around the globe, I am assured that this position is rooted in sound policy which supports the health, development, and overall well-being of minors,” she said.

 ---------------------------------

As a duly-elected public servant, State Rep. Shawn Thierry, and other local officials should not be subjected to public ridicule, and ostracization, for disagreeing with matters that don’t line up with their faith, and or moral beliefs.

Political platforms and expediency are not supposed to trump a public servant’s faith, values, and morals. That being said, someone had better pull Art Pronin, and other activists like him to the side before he/they bite off more than they can chew – especially when it comes to attacking strong African American women, like State Rep. Shawn Thierry, in Harris County, Texas.

In closing, I am proud to announce a few endorsements for the upcoming Tuesday, November 7, 2023, City of Houston General Mayor Election, and the upcoming “SUPER TUESDAY” Tuesday, March 5, 2024, Democratic Party Primary, and Republican Party Primary elections for Harris County, Texas.
